First of all, there are plenty of so-called breeders who are intent upon raising and selling the most popular breeds. More focused on making money, they will not bother with having their dogs tested to make sure they are healthy. Same goes for dog owners who decide to have puppies so that their children can experience the miracle of life. This lack of awareness deteriorates the quality of the breed.
Many professional dog breeders want to improve the quality of the breed and invest considerably in medical tests that can sometimes indicate if a dog is likely or not to reproduce healthy puppies. Unfortunately, the most widely used test (OFA-GDC) is only 30% accurate. We perform additional tests to improve accuracy.
